Flaws In the Top Movie of 2009

Warning this article contains spoilers. If you have not seen Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus go to your local campy movie store and get a copy. or try to find it some how. It is a true masterpiece. Best if viewed with friends.

As many of you who know some of us here at Cleverpork Central know, our favorite movie of 2009 is probably Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus. As many of you also know, we are avid cephalopod supporters and were rooting for the Giant Octopus the whole time.

When the movie ended in a draw between the two, I was furious. Not only was the octopus not being truthful to it's nature, the shark was given way too much credit and wound up seeming kind of overpowered fi you ask me.

All of my concerns about the movie were concerned in a video from the National Geographic Channel. Not only does the octopus win, it actively hunts the shark and the shark has zero chance of survival. While the announcer on the show acts surprised, I was not.

Moral of the story is that even the top movie of the year can't compete with the truth. You all know the saying about the real world being crazier than fiction. I don't remember it, so I hope you do remember it.

Edit: Below is the trailer for Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus if you need moreĀ convincing.

  1. Wow… you’re right. The octopus totally should have won… without a doubt. And Chris, you could always get Scuba certified, and we can go look for an octopus :)
